Today was our final lesson for the project. We were able to finish the website adding a video, roll over images and fancy titles. We were most happy with the progress and amount of knowledge we were able to absorb throughout the project. Our final product was something we were very proud of and myself and patrick were very happy with how it finished, even though we had our own struggles we were able to pull through. Also today we were examined by an online test to see how much we understood the aspescts of making a website as wel as understanding dreamweaver. I was able to get 13/15 which i was most happy with. I have done very well throughout this project and i now know how to use dremwevaer to a suitabe standard, i will take all of my knowledge to the further projects that i will later attempt.

In todays lesson i loaded to the website the first lot of images and information, mainly for the home page. I was also able to complete the first few roll over images. Also myself and Patrick added some cool home icons which we loaded onto each page. They allow you too go back to the main page and creates convienience when navigating through the website. Also we made each background contrast in colors for each background making the website stand out. This lesson was good and relaxing, tommorow we have a double period were we must finish the project and upload it. Everything is running smoothly.

Todays lesson brought us even closer to finishing the project. Today i completed the research aspect of the project which took me a bit longer than i had had i hoped. Patrick and myself were also able to finish the laout of the website as well as going one step further in adding links to all of our pages. Todays lesson was beneficial for our teamwork aspect. I think that this was one of the best lessons were myself and Patrick communicated well. Also we recieved our marks back for our narrative and our group got 5/5 which we were most happy with, next lesson will we continue to add the infomation to the site as well as some fancy features.

For todays lesson i was absent, though thankfully because we get the extra week i can finish the research and then place it into the website. Things are still running pretty smoothly, just hope it stays that way, the last thing myself and my partnner want is to get stuck or loose something. Hopefully on Monda i will return and continue to work.

In todays lesson I completed all of my research based on CMRI organisation, i was able to find out about their histry, communty relations, their people and staf and their future ambitions. Patrick also completed the frame for the layout. I am also adding in some meetings. I have also started to be careul with the folder adding in many different scaffolds etc. We were also told that the project was due next thursday which is a benefit because it can allow us to edit and finalise the website We were also told that there was no presentation which i was quite upset about because i like to present.

Today we had a double lesson and was most useful. In the first lesson Patrick began designing the background for the website, whilst i continued to find information on our organisation. I found it a bit difficult to capture a lot of information, though i think that i have found enough to fulfill the requirements and structure of our particular website.

In the second lesson we continued with a similar process, though i found much more sites to link me to information throughout the project. I also found more images to which we can use for roll over images. i hope that next lesson i can find more information as well assist in the website design.

In todays lesson we were told about the week 2 focus question, the world is getting smaller, what does this ean. We then had to make a blog on this and add our own opinions as well as factual information about how our website makes the world seem smaller. We were also told that the narrative and website plan was due on tuesday. Myself and Patrick have already finished this so it is fine on our part. Hopefully next lesson myself and patrick will begin our website with consent of ms. Next lesson the project will begin to get hectick. So myself and Patrick are prepared to put in the hard yards for a good result in this project.

” the world is getting smaller”. This simply means that the world is connected in too many ways. So i can speak to a person in Japan for instance. It is just another way of saying that everyone is much more close or there is more proximity in the world due to the new and various forms of technology. Also because most people know how to use all of these versitile forms of technology, everyone is connected to eachother. This is because the technology involves the communication of many people, so it just shows that if some is millions of kilometeres away technology and in our case websites can make people feel as if they are as close as ever. Webistes are aslo handy because most are public and open to anyone, meaning people around the world can view our websites and learn about various things.

In todays lesson we once again concentrted on our group website, we were introduced to this new way of portraying our understanding of our website. It was known as narrative writing. It had to be filled out by myself and Patrick and asked questions about the context of the website, such as why we are creating it? how are we going to create it? Whats its purpose etc?. It was very effective and myself and Patrick covered further details about the website.

Th next part of the lesson was a bit harder for myself as my website did not turn out as good as i hoped. However i do have the chance to re submit by adding more features to recieve better marks. I should be able to as i picked up a few more tricks.

On Tuesday we have to submit the narrative as well as the web layout to begin our constructin of our website.

Todays lesson was a very constructive lesson, because today we were introduced to a new way of presenting our website, before actually creating it. It involved us drawing it out like a story board and indicating were the movements occur with the website, as well as a description on each page. So myself and Patrick constructed this in our first period of our double period, though we actually submitted it in our second period. I actually found this quite useful, as it allowed myself and my group member to communicate more and allocate features, instead of just starting a website and being interrupted along the way. Also in our first period we were marked on our e-portfolio, which conatined our contract,meetings and calendar. I believe that we had done very well in this department as myself and patrick planned it in the long run.

In the second period, Ms West began marking the individual tasks, though she did not have enough time to get around to myself or my partner, even though both of our websites were complete. Also we made some further clarifications on our website and our chosen organisation. We were also reminded that our e-portfolio had to be updated before the next checkpoint, so myself and my partner resumed doing our e-portfolio. We also mucked around with dreamweaver testing out some colours etc, that we could use for our site. This was because Ms West had not yet given us feedback on our web layout.

For tommorows lesson if we get our feedback we will start our production of our website and continue to research its contents and images.
